At Vets Choice insurance for pets, we are passionate about providing market-leading pet insurance - a direct result of Guild Insurance's unwavering commitment to the veterinary profession. Our policies are designed to give pet owners peace of mind, ensuring their pets receive the best healthcare without financial strain. Developed with our partner of over 34 years, the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) and vets, our policies cover accidents and illnesses pets may face.

SAI Vet Hospital, led by Dr. Amit Setia, has been a referral partner of Vets Choice since its opening in 2019. The referral partner program helps us understand veterinarians' actual needs, enabling us to offer unparalleled support to vets and the pets they care for. We maintain an open line of communication with our partner vets to ensure our policies are responsive to the needs of both vets and pets.

For pet owners with pet insurance, practices can provide necessary treatments without the challenging 'cost versus treatment' discussion. We offer pre-approval for scheduled procedures and treatments, and our fast online claims process minimises administration for practices when an owner raises a claim. We also assist vets in raising awareness and promoting the benefits of pet insurance to pet owners without ever asking our partners to sell our policies.

Dr Amit and his team have embraced the program’s assistance in helping their customers become aware of the benefits of pet insurance and then empowering them to make informed decisions. “We don’t recommend pet insurers as such, we would not do this, but when asked… we tell our customers that we have brochures available for them to take and that Vets Choice is the only pet insurer recommended by the Australian Veterinary Association,” said Dr Amit.

SAI Vet Hospital has also seen the benefits of Vets Choice Rookie. Rookie is a free 28-day policy, only available through vet partners, for puppies and kittens aged between 8 weeks and 6 months. “This enables us to provide free cover for our customers… the Rookie Cover provides cover instantly, with its 1-day waiting period for accidents and 2-days for illnesses,” Dr Amit added. As the policy is a stand-alone cover, it expires after 28 days, relieving pet owners from any obligation to upgrade and making the process simple for vets and owners. According to Dr Amit, “For us, this is a no-brainer. We are giving customers a gift. This is a benefit that new pet owners get when they bring their pets to SAI Vet Hospital.”
