The Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) is the only national association representing veterinarians across Australia. Founded in 1921, the AVA today represents 9000 members working in all areas of animal science, health and welfare and collectively we are committed to delivering better health and welfare outcomes for animals.

Our vision is to be the health and welfare leader in Australia’s animal industries – an acknowledgement that we must position ourselves as a leader across the range of industries we engage with and that our members work in.

The AVA is committed to supporting veterinarians by providing the resources and support they need to prosper in their careers. The AVA is also committed to strengthening communities by facilitating collegiality and relationships within our profession, so that members can support their communities.

As the voice of veterinarians, we are also passionate about speaking for the profession on issues that matter to both our members and stakeholders.

Vet Voice is this channel and the voice of the veterinary profession. This content hub brings you a rich collection of news, stories, frequently asked questions and media releases across animal and veterinary science interest areas that matter to you.
